When summer rolls in the sandals come out!
And with those sandals comes all the regret of lotion we didn’t put on our, now dried out, feet during winter.
While pedicures are good (oh so good), sometimes with the calluses and cracks on our feet, it just isn’t enough.
Don’t you wish you could just peel off your layer of skin and start over?
WELL NOW YOU CAN!!!
In Korea, the beginning of summer is a must have time for foot peeling packs to get all your little piggies looking fresh and new!
I’ve never tried it so I decided to give it a go!
WARNING: The Pictures Below Are Fucking Nasty. Enjoy.
This is my before picture. My feet really aren’t that bad but I do have some slight calluses on the top balls of my feet. However these are a little different from your regular calluses and run a bit deep so I wasn’t expecting too much in that area. Just a fresh coat. haha
My Weapon of Choice was The Shiny Foot Super Peeling Liquid from Tony Moly. It was about $5 which is a whole lot cheaper than a pedicure!
It’s pretty straightforward and easy to do! I personally did it while watching Naruto. Oh yeah.
Now to wait for one hour. I guess one more episode of Naruto is in store…. *click click click* Shadow Clone Jutsu!!!!!
After an hour to an hour and a half I washed all of the peeling liquid off.
According to the directions over the course of 4-6 days I would start to see the peeling effects.
And sure enough 4 days later I-OH GOD THE HORROR!!!!! WHAT DID I DO TO MYSELF?!?!
Ok, it wasn’t that bad but it’s pretty fucking gross. One of the hardest things was NOT peeling it off! The directions say to avoid this at all cost and that’s because if you peel the skin you might end up ripping off deep layers. Big NO-NO.
*EYE TWITCH* Do not peel. Do not peel. Do not peel.
One thing real surprising was the rate at which it came off. It was seriously alarming.
During this time I avoided wearing sandals, showing my feet in public or to anyone, wore socks to sleep, and had a big lesson in self control.
It’s a little hard to tell in the picture (it’s also hard to contour your body to take a good picture of your feet) but there really was improvement!
The skin looked a lot healthier, fresher, and the top layer of the callused area peeled leaving it slightly softer. Not gone but softer.
If you really want to top it off you can buy Tony Moly’s accompanying shiny foot cream. I love it-makes my feet feel extra extra soft ^.^
If you are feeling brave and slightly gross give it a go! What have you got to lose? Except a lot….no…a fuck ton-of skin.
This is the Traveling Kimchi!!!
